IAVCEI Conference February 2023

Three members of our group (Prof. Janine Kavanagh, Jade Hrintchuk and Dr. Caitlin Chalk) were involved in outreach activities with pupils from three UK primary schools in 2022. The below posters represent the output from these outreach events and were presented during the IAVCEI scientific assembly in February 2023 as part of ‘Volcanofest’. The pupils were asked to draw their impressions of ‘volcanoes’ after the informative session, which involved a talk and an interactive volcano eruption practical exercise.

“Volcanoes” created in the style of Margaret Godfrey by students from St Nicholas & St Laurence Primary School, Weymouth, UK.
